Philip Buller designed and built the Kiva dance studio for his wife, Janet Adler, as a place for her teaching practice of the Discipline of Authentic Movement. This elegant round structure is now being made available to movement therapists, dancers, yoga teachers, artists and meditators for personal or group practice. With solid masonry circular walls, a timber framed roof, radiant heated floors and private bath, the kiva is a work of art well suited to explore various movement practices. The setting is dramatic with a moss-covered boulder to the north, a bubbling creek to the east and Retreat Cove Beach to the south. The kiva can accommodate up to 10 people at a time for group practice with nearby lodging for students.
